St. Peter upon the Water is located at 234 Indian Creek Road in Ingram, Texas, on 170 acres of natural hill country with Indian Creek flowing through the property. Formerly a hunting ranch, the property was purchased in 2005 to become a center for spiritual direction and formation. The original hunting cabin was renovated, and the Administration Building, which houses several spiritual direction rooms, was dedicated in August, 2007.
In April 2009, the first Quiet House duplex, named Mary Anne’s Cottage, was dedicated as a venue for on-site personal directed retreats. That same year the St. John Vianney House, named for the patron of parish priests, was dedicated as a retreat space for clergy as well as the laity.
The Beverly Marie Pevehouse Conference Center, named for our founding benefactrix, was dedicated in August, 2015 for hosting group meetings and day-long retreats. Located in the Conference Center is a library containing over 2000 books, most of them spiritual, theological and formation titles. These books are available to our guests for check-out. The library is gifted by generous donors and new titles are always welcomed. Contact us at: libr[email protected]
